Climate for life privacy statement

This privacy and cookie statement was last updated on 31 July 2025.

Personal data is collected and cookies are placed via www.climateforlife.nl. Privacy is very important to Climate for life. We therefore comply with privacy legislation. This means that your data is safe with us and that we always use it appropriately. In this privacy statement, we explain what we at Climate for life do with the information we learn about you.

If you have any questions or would like to know exactly what we keep track of, please contact Climate for Life.

Use of personal data

When you use, fill in forms on or visit www.climateforlife.nl, we receive the following information:

  • Name and address details
  • Telephone number
  • Billing address
  • Company details
  • Email address
  • IP addresses
  • Any personal data that you enter as the content of a message.

The law refers to this as ‘personal data’ and states that we may only use this data if we explain exactly why and for what reason. You can read this below.

Furthermore, we will not provide the data you provide to other parties without your consent, unless this is necessary in the context of the execution of the agreement you have concluded with us or if this is required by law.

Contact form

You can use the contact form to ask us questions or make requests. You will need to fill in certain information. We store this information for 26 months after the questions or requests have been dealt with, for the purpose of handling your question and/or improving our services.

Data from customer surveys

We are constantly working to improve our services and better align them with what customers want. That is why we may use your data (customer number, email address and/or telephone number) to invite you to participate in a non-binding customer or market survey. In this way, you help us to become even better. It is important that you have had a purchase or service experience with us.

Participation in a customer or market survey is entirely voluntary. You decide for yourself whether you want to participate in the survey. How long your data – linked to the results of the customer or market survey – is stored varies per survey. We delete all data that can be traced back to you as soon as the survey is definitively completed.

Specifically for reviews on websites and social media, the EU has tightened the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive as of 28 May 2022. Our obligations in this regard are:

  • We display all reviews and do not remove any (negative) reviews as long as they do not violate our guidelines. Reviews will be removed if they violate our guidelines.
  • We only accept reviews from customers who have actually purchased a product or service.
  • We do not offer consumers any reward for giving a positive review and do not allow third parties who conduct research for us to reward consumers for positive reviews.
  • We check the authenticity of reviews as much as possible. Our users, authors and ourselves can initiate an investigation when there is a suspicious review or when there is a suspicion of review fraud. In that case, the review may be placed in quarantine by the quality mark holder or by the quality management team. During this investigation, it will be determined whether or not the review will be removed. The investigation will take place within a period of 14 days.
  • In the event of a user cancellation or in the event of a business closure, takeover or bankruptcy, customer reviews will remain online for at least 6 months. After that, they will be removed.

You are liable for the content of the online reviews and guarantee that:

  • The content of the review is not false, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful and/or contrary to the law
  • you do not treat others/us (including the company about which you are giving a customer review) unfairly with the customer review, for example by posting discriminatory, offensive or insulting texts.
  • the customer review is based solely on your own experience with us and this experience took place no more than one year ago. This period does not apply if you post the customer review in response to a request from the company.
  • the review is not intended as a response to other reviews.
  • the review does not contain any personal data or other descriptions that can be traced back to a person.
  • you give a businesslike account of your experience with us and you will not unnecessarily damage the reasonable interests and good name of our company.
  • you do not have a special relationship with our company; in that case, you are not allowed to write customer reviews.

Provision to other companies or institutions

We will only provide your personal data to other companies or institutions if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, if we have obtained your consent to do so, or if we are legally obliged to do so (for example, if the police demand this in the event of a suspected crime).
